Visit the main hall and read about Crewe’s railway and town history. Also let the kids pretend to be an engine driver in the cab of steam locomotive “Columbine”, play in the children’s area with the 47 cab simulator, model railway, and jigsaws. Mum and Dad might also be interested in Harry Watson’s paintings of Crewe, plenty to see for young and old. The Exhibition Hall also regularly houses plays host to a number of third party organised events such as the South Cheshire CAMRA Rail Ale Festival every September plus the Crewe and District Military Vehicle Club annual ‘Wheels of War Weekend’ in aid of ‘Help for Heroes’. Our displays within the exhibition hall are subject to change from year to year and as a result we are always looking for new material to exhibit especially items relevant to Crewe and its history. We welcome artefacts both railway and non-railway related. Please contact the Centre Manager if you have something you wish to loan or donate for display.
